We are thrilled to announce the launch of 1 Hope House! a patient housing facility in Garden Estate, Nairobi Kenya, with the initial capacity to host 22 children and their caregivers.
This will help reduce the barriers to accessing cancer treatment and care and relieve the financial and psychological burden faced by families that are forced to travel long distances to access comprehensive cancer treatment.
The centre will provide short term accommodation, meals, and transport to ensure families adhere to treatment cycles leading to better treatment outcomes in line with the World Health Organizations Global Initiative for Childhood Cancer which aims to increase the global childhood cancer survival rate to 60% by 2030 in turn saving 1 million children.
We are proud to be playing a part in achieving this goal.
